Nicola Legrottaglie cancelled out Antonio Filippini's opener, as it's 1-1 at the break between Livorno and Juventus.

Zaccheroni had over a week with the Bianconeri now and debuted the three-man defence. He had to do without banned duo Momo Sissoko and Zdenek Grygera on top of the injured Vincenzo Iaquinta, Mauro Camoranesi, David Trezeguet, Christian Poulsen, Claudio Marchisio and Hasan Salihamidzic. Livorno had Nelson Rivas suspended and Francesco Tavano sidelined, so January signings Rubinho and Claudio Bellucci started.

It was particularly special for Antonio Candreva, who returned to the stadium he left in January.

The home side were the first to threaten when Vitale found acres of space down the left channel and was closed down for a corner. Nico Pulzetti also flashed a low drive across the face of goal.

Juve's first chance was on 23 minutes for a Nicola Legrottaglie header from Diego's free kick, but the whistle had gone for a push.

However, it was Livorno who broke the deadlock. Vitale once again found space down the left and crossed for the pint-sized Antonio Filippini to nod into the top corner from six yards. He was allowed a free header, as Fabio Grosso was rooted to the spot.

Gigi Buffon controlled a Cristiano Lucarelli header, while Rubinho plucked a curling Alessandro Del Piero free kick out of the air.

It was almost 2-0 for Livorno, Bellucci blasted just wide of the near post, even though Buffon had it covered.

Rubinho fumbled a corner kick, but no Juve players were able to take advantage.

Juventus did manage to equalise just shy of the half-time break. Diego whipped his corner to the back end of the six-yard box, where Legrottaglie's cushioned header went in off the upright. It was the defender's first Serie A goal since December 21 2008.
