Juventus could complete Massimiliano Allegri’s long overdue contract extension by the end of this week.
The Bianconeri bosses have repeatedly stated that a contract extension is inevitable and it was simply a matter of timing before it would be announced.
Allegri’s current deal will expire in 2017 and the new extension is thought to be for one-year with the possibility of a second.
According to Tuttosport, Juve will finalise talks with Allegri over the next few days as an agreement is already thought to be in place, the only delay being Allegri signing off.
The paper also mentions additional imminent contract extensions for both Andrea Barzagli and Patrice Evra.
I think it is more due to Allegri than to the management that we are talking such short terms – it was reported a while ago that Allegri wants an option to break out of his contract, something Juve didnt really want to add in the contract.
