Lyon midfielder Corentin Tolisso has dropped a clear hint over his future and a possible move to Juve, praising Serie A and saying the Bianconeri ‘motivate’ him.
Tolisso has long been the subject of transfer speculation, much of it linking him to Juventus with various outlets in Italy suggesting that a deal is already in place with Olympique Lyonnais for a move this summer. Lyon President Jean-Michel Aulas confirmed as much earlier this year when he said “We received an important offer for Tolisso, but in the end we did not do anything about it. The situation is different now and I think there will be very significant sales by June 30.”
Italian transfer journalist Alfredo Pedulla previously reported that a €40 million deal was in place as Juventus are aiming to beat off competition and secure the player without entering a bidding war in the summer. The player has also been full of praise for Juve on numerous occasions, previously calling Juventus a ‘level above Roma’ while French national coach Dider Deschamps believes it would be a good idea for Tolisso to join the Bianconeri.
Speaking ahead of France’s 3-1 victory over Luxembourg, Tolisso gave a clearer indication of where he might be heading this summer, praising Serie A and Juventus in particular.
“Interest from a big and prestigious club like Juventus gives me even more motivation to end this season well.
“In the past Napoli had made an approach, now the Bianconeri: it’s pleasing, as Serie A is a wonderful league.
“For the moment, however, I just need to focus on my performances on the field. I am concentrated on ensuring fourth place in Ligue 1 and going forward in the Europa League.”

Tolisso will be worth every penny of that $40 million, were getting the finished product here. The influx of young talent is super exciting( Tolisso, Bentacur, Orsolini, Caldara) wow!!!
By the way if anyone is following Serie B check out Orsolinis numbers. 7 goals and 6 assists on a very average Ascoli team is really impressive. Majority of the time he gets about 60 minutes in a game, sometimes coming on as a substitute. I am super excited for the future, management keeps outdoing itself! 6 million is pocket change for this talent, not to mentioned it will probably paid in installments which makes it barely noticeable.
Looking forward to see him in black and white!
