Juventus players Gonzalo Higuain, Miralem Pjanic and Sami Khedira were allowed to leave the country yesterday having informed the club of their intentions.
Initial reports in La Repubblica has suggested that Higuain had left Italy without permission from the club, a week after being in self-isolation following the outbreak of the Coronavirus.
La Gazzetta Dello Sport and Goal Italia now report that Higuain informed the club that he needed to travel to be with his seriously ill mother and obtained permission from Juve to travel.
It’s reported that Khedira and Pjanic also requested to travel and along with Higuain, all three tested for COVID-19.
Juve players Daniele Rugani and Blaise Matuidi tested positive for the virus and have been in self-isolation since.
