According to dubious Spanish newspaper headlines, Juventus are close to signing Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
Isco Suárez, better known as Isco, has been a long standing target for the Bianconeri (If you believe the Italian papers) and they may get their man this summer.
Mundo Deportivo, a Spanish paper with a reputation for churning out the most spurious of stories, reports that the former Malaga player will leave Real Madrid to join Juventus in the summer.
How much can we read into this? Not a great deal. It’s the latest in a long list of stories that seem to be appearing just recently, linking Juve with Real Madrid players, in part due to Alvaro Morata’s contract.
With the Spanish striker’s future still uncertain, Tuttosport, amongst others, suggest the Bianconeri will splash out close to €90m on both Isco and full-back Danilo, as well as removing Morata’s buy-back option, meaning they’ll own him outright.
Fasten your seatbelts, the mercato is almost upon us, and I suspect this summer will be a long and arduous one.

Do we really need a trequartista if we get Berardi? Berardi could play trequartista, even though I rate him more as a right forward in 433. But if we want a trequartista, I think Isco is my favorite choice. Still young and with plenty of technique and creativity. But how can we play Dybala, Isco and Berardi at the same time…?
I think Beppe is trying to get Isco, probably would be his #1 target. If that doesn’t work I can see us getting Berardi, who is probably on the bottom of the priority transfer targets. To be honest, neither player excites me that much. Isco is a bit of a drama queen sometimes and Berardi has more yellow cards than goals this season. I’m more excited for Renato Sanches, Bernardo Silva, Mario Gotze.
Gotze is a good shout, Jas. He was talked about a lot, last summer. He’d fit in well at Juve. I like Bernardo Silva as well, but i haven;t seem him play too much. I think theres a definite need for an atacking midfielder to give us another dimension in games. We’ve looked limited in matches where we’ve only been able to use 1 or 2 different systems.
Gotze is way too expensive for us and I dont think he really wants to come to Italy, reality sucks I know :(. We will see what kind of moves Beppe makes this summer but Renato Sanches at around 15million is a bargain……..this kid is Vidal but much faster and more of a solid player. What we need is width, evra and lich are solid but by no means are they anywhere near say douglas costas level. Management has made solid decisions so far, I dont think they will dissapoint but I have my fingers crossed on Silva.
Surely with income at around 350 million euros this year before any player sales a fee of 30-40m is not beyond us now. Would Gotze, a good but not world class player who warms the bench a lot cost more than that?
We can realistically go for a player like Gotze, even if he costs a large amount – the salary might be an issue though.
I wonder what assurances he’s had from Ancelotti about next season ?
I still think we’ll end up buying a local ITalian player – someone like Saponara – there ar so many other sides scouting these young European talents – we either move fast and attract them early on or we lose them in bidding wars.
I agree with you about width – it lacks in our side and we have aged legs carrying the flanks – i;m not knocking lichtsteiner or Evra, i just think we need sme younger legs in there eventually
I really need to YouTube this Bernardo Silva, a lot of comments here praising him and I honestly dont know this player well.
Besides that, I think Juve can handle those disciplinary aspects you mentioned about Berardi and Isco
This is the dilemma ! I think there are options there – we could use Dybala in the centre, Berardi to the right and Isco can play more centrally, rather than as a pure trequartista…..that would probably be wasting his talents though. The other option is to play Berardi as a second striker, a little closer to Dybala…..which might also limit him as he likes to play wide.
I think we’ll definitely get Berardi, i;m not too sure on Isco – the price tag, plus the interest from City, Arsenal and others would probably mean he’ll leave.
This is what I am wondering about too. But I would like Isco anyway! Dont expect him to arrive though, I al satisfied with Berardi coming in
This vote is one of the funniest I have seen here, lmao!
In terms of a trequartista, I would kill someone to get one like Isco, Gotze, Reus or Oscar..
But in reality I expect Franco Vázquez or Saponara. Or a more unknown miracle boy if Beppe works his magics!
