Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia this summer.
Biglia was awarded the captaincy at Lazio but it’s been a largely forgettable season for him and the Biancocelesti players.
According to Il Messaggero, the Argentines agent has arrived in Rome with the player expected to ask for a move away from the capital.
The report suggests that Lazio have offered the player a new deal worth €3m per season until 2020 but he will reject it in favour of a transfer.
Biglia’s agent Enzo Montepaone has been approached by both Inter and Juventus as well as some foreign clubs, but the midfielder may cost as much as €30-35m.
Paying 30-35 million for a 30 year old would be insane. This guy has put up decent numbers in an average Lazio squad. I really don’t see him as Juve potential, we need to stop buying these average players and invest in real talent. That 30-35 million can be spent on so many better players. This would be a step backwards, I’d understand if it was a Khedira type of a deal where we get him for free but anything over 5 million for him would be insane. I dont see how any team will pay his much money for a 30 year old player that is juts above average.
Agreed – don’t feel much difference with Cavani. Why pay 30+ million for a player in autumn of career who will have no resale value at end of contract. Paying 10 million like we did for Tevez is fine, but not 3 times that. Put the money towards buying out Morata’s contract clause.
