Juventus could be prepared to sacrifice Miralem Pjanic, Douglas Costa and Federico Bernardeschi in their pursuit of Paul Pogba.
The French midfielder remains a dream signing for the Bianconeri, however they are expected to make a number of sales before they can buy.
According to La Gazzetta Dello Sport, Costa, Pjanic and Bernardeschi are among those who could be ‘sacrificed’ in order to raise funds for a major purchase.
Alongside Pogba, Juve maintain an interest in Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but he’s also expected to cost close to €100m, along with Pogba.
Bosnian midfielder Pjanic was highlighted by coach Maurizio Sarri as a player who should get 150 touches a game, but his poor form this season, coupled with the improvement of Rodrigo Bentancur, could see the 30-year-old sold to Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
Douglas Costa’s season has been hampered by injury which could lead to him being used in a player exchange involving Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus, a player Juve are reportedly keen on signing.
Federico Bernardeschi was a favourite of previous coach Max Allegri, largely due to his ability to play in a number of different roles, but he’s another who has struggled this season.
Sarri opted to play him as an attacking midfielder and had proposed to use him as a mezz’ala in the closing part of the season, hoping to better utilise his skill set.
Gazzetta suggest that the arrival of Dejan Kulusevski this summer will effectively put an end to Bernardeschi’s time at Juve with a number of Italian teams interested in the 26-year-old.
