Max Allegri has moved to quash rumours linking him with a switch to the Premier league by insisting he is happy at Juventus, hoping to manage the club for “300 or 400 more games.”
Speaking in his pre-game press conference, Allegri was asked about the many rumours linking him to a possible vacancy at Arsenal or another Premier League club.
“As for my future, how can I confirm something that doesn’t exist or deny something I never said? I have a contract with Juventus, I am happy, as I’ve always said we have a season to complete and at the right time we’ll sit down with the club to discuss our plans.”
Tomorrow will be Allegri’s 100th league game in charge at Juventus.
“I never thought about it because I am not interested in records, but in winning the Scudetto and going all the way in the Champions League.
“I hope there are another 300 or 400 games, as I am happy at Juventus. I always said that if I were to leave, Juve would be the first to know.”
And 300 more after that!
Hey! That’s pretty good
With Allegri staying around I don’t see Juve winning the Champions League for a while. I hope he proves me wrong. His management skills are Champion material, but his tactics are quarter final quality.
An exception will be getting a quality player in Vidal’s former role. I think Juve will improve its odds even though with terrible tactics.
