Juventus have confirmed the signing of Mario Lemina on a 4-year deal.
The Gabonese midfielder has spent the last season on loan with the Bianconeri and Juve today announced they have exercised their option to sign the midfielder on a permanent basis.
A statement on the clubs official website confirmed the deal:
Juventus Football Club can today confirm that Mario Lemina’s season-long loan spell has been made permanent with the midfielder signing a four-year deal from Olympique Marseilles.
A fee of €9.5 million, payable in four separate instalments, has been agreed, with a potential extra €1 million to be added on if certain performance-related targets are met.
Lemina made a great start to his Juve career but was forced to miss much of the season through injury. His new contract will keep in Turin until at least June 30 2020.
Great news! Great show of faith in him shown by the management, he will be worth it!
Excellent news, and hopefully only the start of much more to come!! I think Lemina will provide excellent cover for both Khedira and Marchisio, as he can do a great job in either of their positions.
As for more signings, I think 2 in each department is ideal. For attack, keeping Morata counts as a signing for me, and Berardi is almost surely coming in as well. In midfield, Andre Gomes looks like a discrete possibility, and a TQ of quality like Isco is still desired. In defence, Benatia on loan or a purchase of Tonelli/Acerbi is required, and a RB like Vrsaljko is needed.
Obviously, quite a few players will need to make way for this to happen. Hernanes and Caceres are surely out, and there are others who I feel havent done enough to warrant a stay. I think Max Allegri should use these next 2-3 Serie A matches to decide who really is of Juve quality, because we will need a great bench in order to properly push for the treble next season. Asamoah, Sturaro, Padoin, Pereyra, and Zaza are all players I like, but if we get substantial offers for any of them then I think it is in the best interest of all parties if they left us. Just my opinion.
Forza Juveeeee
I wouldnt sell Asamoah and especially not Sturaro, but besides that I fully agree. Keeping Morata is worth considering as a new signing and adding Berardi is a great addition. If the rumour of a big offer for Mandzukic is true I would make that sale too. He is only going to reduce in value and he is not indispensable. We would even make a little profit.
Caceres and Hernanes should be gone. Same for Padoin and perhaps Pereyra. Also the useless loanees should be gone, like De Ceglie and Isla. Maybe Isla will be used in a Batshuayi deal
Reports say the André Gomes deal is concluded as well: 35mill plus bonuses for his Juve transfer!
We should wait for something to show up on our official website first!
I know, but patience never was my strongest virtue!
This is one of our smartest investements – Seems a steal at the price, a young player on the rise, now fully settled in Turin and content to wait his chance. He’s integrated into the team, knows the setup well, understands his teammates on the pitch, and he;s still just a pup !
Very happy with this – another investment in youth and another sign of trend that we’re employing – rather than spend a fortune chasing after players that are only interested in $, we’re sniffing out the young talent around Europe and developing them and brining them into the ranks.
I read yesterday that young Pol Lirola has signed a new 5 year deal and will be integrated into the first team next season – Two fantastic bits of news in 24 hours.
Very happy indeed with the way things are developing.
What a steal!!! The deal is over 4 year installments so really we are only paying 2.5 million per season for him. That leaves plenty of room for other acquisitions!! Off note, I think Sturaro needs to go if Mandragora is going to get any playing time. Asamoah should stay unless we get a decent offer but its time to clean house and upgrade our bench. I honestly think With lemina deal permanant we will not get andre gomes as lemina can play that position. What I could see playing out is Beppe finally going for an ACM, given that the market is super inflated the only deal that makes sense is Oscar from Chelsea. Mithrayak is going to cost allot and will probably go to England, Isco will not be sold we are only fooling ourselves. Given that Chelsea is rebuilding and no c.l or e.l for them next year i could see us persuading them to sell. On the other hand I think the french league is really where its at talent wise, super undervalued players all over the place.
My personal choice is Bernardo Silva but the problem is that Berardi plays in the same positions, however if Moratta leaves which i FULLY expect him to because RM really have just one striker we should go after this kid.
