Paul Pogba scored in Juve’s 2-1 victory over AC Milan and insists he’s happy at Juventus and has ‘no transfer temptations’.
The French midfielder was recently linked with a move to Barcelona when Brazilian striker Neymar suggested he’d like to play alongside Pogba in the future.
“It’s nice that such a great player shows appreciation for me” Pogba told Gazzetta dello Sport.
“Everyone wants to play with the champions, but I’m happy to stay at Juventus and I’m focused on the title.
“I have no transfer temptations, the Scudetto is the only thing in my head.”
Pogba had high praise for keeper Gigi Buffon who kept Juventus in the game after they fell behind early on.
“Buffon is a great number one. He helps the team throughout the season.
“Refereeing favours for Juventus? What about all the victories we picked up so far? It’s the team that makes the difference, and we do that because we defend and attack all together.
“People like to talk. We just have to keep going this way, and we’ll see at the end.”
One more season with Pogba would be good. I’m resigned to seeing him leave, but one more season to have another crack at Europe on the back of (hopefully) winning 2 trophies.
And if he does go, i can only see him joining Barca.
I would not hesitate one moment if someone offered more than 100m,
but at the same time juventus have to be patient.
at the beginning of the season there was talk about pogba not being important or playing bad, while he slowly adapted to his new role at juventus. With giving him the num. 10 shirt he and the club both make clear they do not plan to split ways just yet. Another year, as Rav says, would be great for both parties.
Unfortunetally the truth is that we have no way of keeping him when he decides he would like to. This means that the future of Pogba is only in his own hands, and the club which comes to offer such a abnormal sum for just one player.
he is, however, completely worth it in every way. teh way he has been playing in the last months has had me going back in matches to find the moments that he absolutely wrecks his opponents. Be it the little guys at Udinese, or the big boys of Spain and Bayern, everyone has trouble dealing with Pogba. If it were up to me, we lift the salary ceeling for him and several other players, and keep them for the future.
Pogba and dybala here for the next 3/4 years would definetally complete our journey back to the top.
If we were to add some players to our squad of the calibre of Cavani, then maybe they will be tempted to stay on for longer.
