Juventus defender Daniele Rugani has urged everyone to “respect the rules” having tested positive for the Coronavirus yesterday.

The club released an official statement Wednesday evening confirming Rugani had tested positive for COVID-19 but had no symptoms of the illness.

Following the announcement, Rugani took to social media to reassure fans but urged them to respect the rules:

“You will have read the news and that’s why I want to reassure all those who are worried about me, I’m fine.

At this moment, however, I feel even more the duty to thank all the doctors and nurses who are struggling in hospitals to face this emergency.

I urge everyone to respect the rules, because this virus makes no distinctions! Let’s do it for ourselves, for our loved ones and for those around us.”
