Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny insists that the team will be “ready to resume” the campaign.
The season has come to a halt with the Bianconeri at the top of the table, although most players have now finished their period of self-isolation and are ready to resume training.
“It’s been two weeks since the start of the quarantine. I’m on my own, as my family returned to Poland,” Szczesny told Sky Sport Italia.
“It’s not simple. I sleep a lot, but I train every day to make myself ready to resume the championship.”
Daniele Rugani, Blaise Matuidi and Paulo Dybala all tested positive for the Cornavirus following Juve’s vistory over Inter.
“It was sad news, but fortunately none of them had serious symptoms, the only solution is to stay at home.
“We did well to win the match, but it’s not the same without the fans. It was a very strange game,” he said. “We must respect all the rules. Our sacrifice can help other more fragile people. We stay at home.”
