Gianluigi Buffon |
A truly great reaction save late on from Lopez was an all too timely reminder of what a difference it makes to have this man in goal. |
7.7 |
||
Martin Caceres |
Rose brilliantly to head the ball into the net, albeit off Biraghi. Hit the bar late on. Immense performance overall. |
7.4 |
||
Leonardo Bonucci |
A quiet and comfortable evening at the centre of defence. Rarely troubled, tracked back and made some good clearances. |
6.1 |
||
Angelo Ogbonna |
Never really troubled or tested playing at the left of the back 3. Was caught out on occasion when he was out of position. Otherwise ok. |
6 |
||
Stephan Lichtsteiner |
Ran the right flank with aplomb. Provided some superb deliveries that weren’t capitalised on. Linked up brilliantly with Vidal and Coman. |
7.3 |
||
Claudio Marchisio |
No Pirlo ? No Problem. Orchestrated the play brilliantly from the centre of the pitch and completed 90% of his passes. |
7.2 |
||
Paul Pogba |
A powerhouse performance picking up exactly where he left off last season. Linked up really well with Coman which bodes well for both this season. |
7.2 |
||
Arturo Vidal |
Very unlucky not to score as his effort was cleared off the line while another came off the post. Vidal at his almost-best. |
7 |
||
Kwadwo Asamoah |
Ran up and down the left flank to provide a real outlet for the team. Pinged in a few decent crosses. Some solid defending as well. |
6.5 |
||
Kingsley Coman – MOM |
A debut that will live long in the memory. So unfortunate not to cap it off with a goal. Linked up with Tevez as though they had been playing together for years. Promising. |
8.1 |
||
Carlos Tevez |
Had a shot on goal after just a minute. Delivered a typically ‘Tevez’ performance, industrious throughout and hit the bar late on. |
6.6 |
||
Substitutions |

Fernando Llorente |
Came on after 68 minutes and hit the ground running. A livewire throughout the remainder of the game and could well have scored late on. |
6.2 |
Another look.
I think those guys at whoscored hate Marchisio. They always give him a low rating
Coman ever lower rating and many of us see him as MOM :p
It’s because 20 completed passes and 10km of running equate to the same as a single shot off target by their ratings standards
Problem i found with that site, and others is that it doesn’t always tell the full story. Thats why i bought back the ratings, to let people vote and decide
